BHM x Cambridge Union Event

October 23

In honour of Black History Month 2020, the University of Cambridge African Caribbean Society and the Cambridge Union are uniting to host a panel discussion led by some of the most honoured and well respected role models in the global Black community; including the greatest thinkers, writers, activists and creatives of our time. Often, Black History Month is limited to an isolated and tokenistic nod to prominent figures and prominent moments in Black history.

We are seeking to transform this by dissecting and immersing ourselves in our own history: the beauty, the versatility, the victories, but also the pain and injustices. In doing so, our main purpose is to uncover how we can utilise this real and unadulterated understanding of our history as an anchor in the fight to seek universal liberation for Black people.
