Welcome to the Cambridge University African-Caribbean Society
Educate. Empower. Entertain.
We are here to support every single Afro-Caribbean student at Cambridge University. We do this by providing safe spaces where students can share their cultures and experiences whilst having fun, and knowing that they will be accepted in our community. We also aim to support students by providing opportunities which bolster their career prospects and interests. Each committee member engages and welcomes our current students whilst also anticipating the arrival of prospective students too. It is important that for every new cohort that arrives in Cambridge is made comfortable, with the knowledge that they have a support system available in us.

“Let nothing dim the light that shines from within.” - Maya Angelou
Our committee is dedicated to providing high-quality, engaging events that help to bring the community closer together whilst having fun at the same time. From Nollywood movie nights to games nights, Christmas balls to parties, Oxbridge Varsity to Offer Holders’ Day, our committee works tirelessly to make sure the melting pot of cultures and vibrant personalities within the ACS community are on full display and fully reflected in the events we put on. So come and take a look at one of the fastest-growing, fun-loving and collaborative societies that Cambridge has to offer!
